I work well with clients who are seeking to establish a deeper understanding of themselves, are curious about their inner lives and how their history has impacted them and lives on in present day, gaining increased insight and awareness into aspects of their experience that may be inaccessible or unconscious, and using the therapeutic relationship to better understand their own thoughts, feelings, and ways of relating with others.
I am trained in psychodynamic, humanistic, and cognitive behavioral techniques. I also completed additional postdoc training in psychodynamic psychotherapy at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Center. I am currently a candidate in psychoanalysis at the Oregon Psychoanalytic Institute.
I provide individual psychotherapy to adults with a variety of issues including anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, family conflict, grief/loss, and post-trauma concerns. I welcome clients from all cultural backgrounds and have specific interest/experience working with those who self-identify as LGBTQ as well as adult survivors of childhood abuse.
