Groups
Gay Liberation Depth Group

Gay people can be understood to possess a sublime creative potential that with special care may develop in striking ways, professionally, relationally, spiritually. This weekly depth group approaches the gay psyche as having fearsome as well as uplifting divine aspects that can be integrated into a novel sense of wholeness not otherwise attainable through standard therapies. Focus on becoming more gay-centered, feeling-oriented, transpersonally-minded, and appreciative of LGBT mystical traditions through dynamic interpersonal interaction and a shared transformative effort to reclaim deeply-sourced homophobic childhood hurts as the eternally hopeful "child within" who needs our loving care.

Gay-Centered Inner Work Club

You don’t have to be queer to help cultivate depthful community through celebrating a divine potential in same-sex love. Here, a “gay lens” guides a way of “coming out” to your own unique experience of authentic self-becoming. This Club emphasizes development of a subjective attitude in relations with self and others through mutual exploration into relevant subjects like the evening’s topic as well as any pertinent dreams, fantasies, memories, and feelings that may range all the way from unpleasant or unacceptable, such as fear, shame and anger, to the positive side, joy, desire and love.

Gay-Centered Inner Work Club, More Information

Go to treeroots.org to find more information about this workshop that meets on Zoom, the first Saturday night of each month, where gay liberation is approached psychologically in a Jungian sense as a subjectively experienced disentanglement and freeing of ego-Self relations from the clutches of unconscious complexes expressing destructive heterosexist parental dynamics and other early childhood traumas that cripple authentic Self-realization.
