Starting my career in 1993, I have worked with individuals from all walks of life. I believe that at the core of every human being is the desire for growth and self-discovery. We are each born unique, and yet we spend our lives being told by others how to live and behave like everyone else. Over time, the process of forgetting the authentic self leads one to experience emotional distress that is uniquely personal. Whether dealing with life changes, relationship issues, or disabling mental illness, working with a competent psychotherapist can facilitate the process of overcoming obstacles and developing a more fulfilling life.

I recognize that CBT can provide quick relief, but I have found that patterns of thinking and behavior tend to remain/recur until processed at a deeper level. While I do provide behavioral strategies as needed, the real work happens when we look at the unconscious. I primarily use psychodynamic and family systems models. I am also trained in EMDR (1997).

I am the founder of Greater Heights Behavioral Health Associates, PLLC, a quiet and comfortable office located between the Greater Heights, Oak Forest, Shepherd Forest and Garden Oaks neighborhoods. We are about twelve minutes from downtown and ten minutes from the Galleria. Appointments are scheduled to respect your time and prioritize your privacy.
