Many feel overwhelmed at times with family life. Feeling that a child's problem is overwhelming or out of control. This can often lead to break downs in parenting or just relationships in the family. I have found over the years I help best when things look the worst and that many families have what it takes to change and make things feel more in control. I hope to help families and children feel like they can meet the challenges that life throws at them. Besides counseling I also offer supervision for Drug and Alcohol Counselors, Play therapy, and professional counselors in Kentucky.
I use play therapy, family therapy, and cognitive behavioral therapy to help assess the issues that are causing distress and then promote change to improve the family life. I am also certified in EMDR and trained Autplay.
My goal is to build and support families by looking at their strengths and building on that to meet their needs.
