I am highly experienced working with children and adolescents dealing with issues including ADHD, depression, anxiety, grief, behavior problems, self esteem issues, and parenting support. With older adolescents and young adults, I've been helpful with issues including navigating social situations with peers, parents and teachers, dating and relationships, self esteem, as well as ADHD, depression, and anxiety.
When I work with children, generally, the younger they are, the more I work closely with the parent(s) for supportive collaboration. I am a certified attention deficit consultant (ADC-C) and also a certified grief counselor (GC-C) through the American Institute of Health Care Professionals (AIHCP.)
I enjoy getting to know my clients and building trust through kindness, compassion, and patience. I try to incorporate humor while being supportive but also giving strategies, psychoeducation, and sometimes just a listening ear. I have been told often by adolescents and young adults that they feel very comfortable working with me. I'm happy to help!
