My therapy practice is built upon foundational beliefs about confidentiality, mutual respect, honesty, and transparency; the therapeutic relationship forms a safe environment in which to explore feelings, worries, distress, and decisions about the future. During my career, I have worked with clients who may be dealing with grief and loss, trauma, emotional distress, and illness. I welcome individuals and couples in therapy who may be dealing with interpersonal difficulties or internal distress. I have been involved in the psychology field as a therapist, professor, supervisor and administrator with a primary focus on therapy.
In addition to being a licensed clinical psychologist, I am certified as a sex therapist by the American Association of Sexuality Educators, Counselors, and Therapists. I have a special interest in helping others deal with shame and guilt particularly regarding sexuality.
