Hello, my name is Chris Dougherty, and I am a licensed professional counselor in the great state of Georgia. I am a counselor because I believe all people can and do get better with the proper guidance. I have the pleasure of working with different people with different needs and have enjoyed doing so my whole career. I most enjoy people who are ready to change no matter what they are struggling with, and I specialize in helping veterans, men, children, and teens with trauma, OCD, anxiety, depression, self-esteem, school, and work-related issues.
I have always been a helper since a child. I started as a mechanical engineering student in undergrad and volunteered my time with children in poverty helping them with tutoring and just being a support. I realized I was in the wrong career and switched to counseling and helping people be better is why I do what I do.
I believe I am here to help you achieve your goals. We will discuss what you are seeking and then work through what therapeutic approaches I am trained in that would be most beneficial to your situation and then ensure your goals are what you want and are attainable.
