I believe that everyone has the potential to be helped. The best help comes when two or more people get together and are able to align their communication and abilities in such a way that the client recieves the intervention they need and the therapist understands what the need of the client is. I work well with people who are, first and foremost, honest about what they need. In exchange for that honesty, I do my best to offer a setting where people can open up without judgment.
Helping people means meeting them where they are, walking at their pace with them, and occassionally giving a push when you think the person in need can do more for themselves. I do my best to offer a space for people to be honest with themselves about why they are struggling and to offer a safe but sometimes challenging space to help them grow.
