In a world that profits off of our disconnection, from ourselves, from each other, and from the land, it is a radical act to slow down and pay attention to yourself in a deeper way. No matter what you are experiencing - depression, anxiety, relationship stress, or fear and uncertainty about the state of the world - slowing down and noticing what you are experiencing with compassion and curiosity is the first step toward any healing process. My job in therapy is to support you in learning how to be present with the thoughts, feelings, and bodily sensations that might feel too intense or scary to be with alone.
I work primarily with students and young professionals who are navigating life transitions, relationship stress, pressures of school and work, and the challenges of living in the world as it is today. I integrate relational psychotherapy with mindfulness and somatic therapy. I also integrate trauma-informed, attachment, and anti-oppressive theory in my work.
Healing means having choices. When we’re able to notice our thoughts, beliefs, and automatic patterns with conscious awareness, we can make new choices. My role as your therapist is to support you in that process of slowing down and noticing what’s there with curiosity. If you'd like to learn more about how I work, schedule a call today or visit my website.
