I always try to approach people with a deep appreciation for their complexity. Identified problems and symptoms are only part of the picture, and a more comprehensive view allows us to take full advantage of our strengths, as well as identify aspects of healthy living that are missing. When these tend to be in areas we're less comfortable with, gently exploring and working to improve our comfort level can be powerful tools toward lasting change. I am particularly interested in reaching young adults (18+) who tend to internalize their struggles, who may be slow to receive help because their negative feelings are directed inward and are generally non-disruptive.
