For 35 years, I've worked with clients to support healing around trauma, marriage/partnering, sexuality, grief, depression/anxiety, addictions. Using Somatic Experiencing, family of origin, meditation/movement work, Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy and Internal Family Systems, I work with clients to help them develop a deeper sense of self, to face life's inevitable challenges with clarity and resources. Clients can repair their marriages/partnerships. Emphasized is the capacity to stay emotionally present, to attune, differentiate, have healthy boundaries, practice dual awareness and have clarity about attachment issues.
We all experience varying degrees of trauma. Trauma affects our central nervous system and interrupts relationships. Becoming resourced, gently restores well-being. Somatic Experiencing helps resolve trauma and grief in the body/mind. Emotionally Focused Therapy can increase healthy emotional attachments, leading to fulfilling and enhanced relationships.
As a somatic therapist ( 35 years) and movement teacher, I attune to your subtle body clues & feelings. Emotions arise in the body, where they are felt before they are named. Our bodies and feelings are very important resources to help us move through difficulties & grief and gain understanding, insight and balance, helping us achieve fulfillment and ease.
