Accepting New Patients. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, specializing in drug and alcohol treatment. I am an empathetic listener whose style of therapy is focused on being open and frank with a realistic approach. My goal is to help people feel competent and positive about their lives; or make realistic changes to get to where they wish to be.
With over 30 years of experience, I specialize in dual diagnosis patients with mental health and substance abuse issues. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy as way to look at the patient as a whole and decide what needs to be fixed. I conduct assessments to evaluate patient needs; and will determine what types of services are required to help.
I help individuals who have been raised in difficult families of origin. Additionally, I can help those who need to change life patterns which might include use of substances; dealing with grief and loss issues, changing a history of poor relationships and trauma; improving communication skills or increasing self-esteem.
