Using the principles of psychology and social work, I take a person in the environment perspective. Together, we will engage to discover your strengths and areas of challenge. Explore cope abilities and tolerances with troubling life events; like the death of a loved one or pet, the loss of a job, declining health, financial problems, and/or relationship issues. Possessing almost 10 years' experience as a Christian-counselor we may also focus on building a strong and resilient faith or aspects of your faith which you believe is missing from your life. Among my theoretical orientations, CBT, MBCT, ACT I utilize a faith-based approach

Working in Public Child-Welfare for 20 years and Adolescent Substance Abuse Treatment for five years prior to that; I bring a unique combination of interventions and skills to overcoming some of life's most complicated issues. My professional background required a Trauma informed/focused approach prior to it gaining popularity.

In addition to the traditional trauma narrative framework, I have begun focusing on Post Traumatic Growth as a pathway to healing and thriving.
