Hello! My name is Christine Escobar. I am a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW).
I am trained in CBT, ACT, MI, and SFBT. I am pursuing additional training and certification in SFBT, an evidence-based approach. Using this language-based approach, we co-construct your desired outcomes or “best hopes” for each session. With a focus on hope, the trajectory of our work shifts from a problem-centered approach to what you hope for most. This shift facilitates change by honoring your agency and autonomy without re-traumatizing or re-experiencing a painful past. I look forward to collaborating with you to bring your dreams to life.
For the past 15 years, I have worked with people recovering from grief and loss across their lifespans. It is a privilege and an honor to support those healing from grief and loss and facing complex life challenges.
Growing up in Hawaii, I developed an appreciation for the beauty of my environment and a passion for outdoor sports, including surfing, windsurfing, and swimming. I also lived in Colorado, where I enjoyed the mountains, skiing, hiking, and triathlons. Currently, living in Arizona, my favorite activities are walking and playing with my dog, Kekoa.
