My ideal client is an individual who comes to therapy with a positive and open attitude to be an active and committed participant. While seeking out support, setting goals, addressing individual human needs, and identifying areas for improvement. As a clinician, my goal is to provide a space where difficulties can be explored in a safe and trusting environment. Every client's individual goals and needs are the primary focus of the counselor/client relationship and are supported by rapport and trust building. My goal is for every client to partake in a therapeutic relationship that supports their continual growth.
My diverse experience includes working with clients from ages 13 to 30 with various diagnoses, long-term goals and identified areas for improvement. I utilize evidence-based, solution-focused, and trauma-based techniques to support my clients. I continue to remain a lifelong student to ensure that I am equipped with the necessary and appropriate skills.
As a clinician, I pride myself on fostering authentic relationships with clients by facilitating a warm, open, and accepting environment. As a professional, I am continually working to ensure that my approach, techniques, and strategies are most appropriate and effective for an individual client and their particular set of needs and goals.
