About
Our lives consist of welcome routines and happy memories, turning points and challenges. Sometimes it is painfully difficult. Perhaps you have experienced the loss of a dream or a loved one, or been unable to move past a traumatic event. Maybe life feels like a daily rut, void of meaning or joy. Even in the company of people who care about us we can feel alone, sad or overwhelmed. The good news is we can find connection, experience change and move through pain and struggle to a place of greater freedom and happiness.
I have helped people navigate life transitions (chosen or unchosen), grief/loss, unresolved trauma, family dysfunction and more. I offer therapy tailored to meet my clients' needs and draw from a variety of theoretical orientations, including psychodynamic (insight oriented), cognitive-behavioral (skills), and trauma-informed treatments (including EMDR).
Clients describe me as genuine, compassionate, thoughtful and interactive. My hope is that you will experience psychotherapy as a relationship and partnership in which you feel engaged, empowered, influential and self-aware. Therapy can be a deeply rewarding experience and I am happy to talk with you about the possibility of working together.
