I work primarily with issues of depression, anxiety, child abuse, neglect, grief, and trauma. Helping someone through difficult issues is a collaboration between therapist and client. It takes courage to show up for therapy and trust someone to help! I practiced and taught meditation as a means for recovering from trauma for 30 years before becoming a therapist. Meditation develops a stronger, calmer mind, but doesn't completely clear psychological issues, unless you've the luxury of years of intense practice. For faster results than talk therapy or meditation alone, I integrate them to build self-awareness and stability.

I've also searched out therapies to help you quickly unravel the netted undergrowth of dysfunctional patterns. I am certified in Advanced Integrative Therapy, which uses a cognitive approach in combination with energy centers to facilitate releasing cellular memory of the cause of an obstructive pattern. I also use EMDR, an evidence based trauma therapy.
