Dr. Calix earned her PhD in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Psychology in 1980. She completed her postdoctoral internship with the U. S. Navy treating patients with substance abuse disorders and military adjustment issues. Dr. Calix has extensive training and experience in her field working with adolescents and adults. She has been practicing, award-winning psychologist for over 40 years. She is licensed to practice psychology in California.
Dr. Calix provides expert supportive, compassionate, and culturally sensitive therapy for individuals and couples designed to promote growth, self-awareness, acceptance, and enhanced cooping abilities.
She has extensive experience with the military as an active-duty officer in the United States Navy, as well as clinical positions with San Diego County Mental health Forensic Services, and the State of California. She has had over 20 years' experience in private practice settings treating a variety of clients with a range of conditions.
