Sessions with me provide a safe, stable place for general mental health support & those hoping to explore their existing patterns of behaviors while learning new skills & healthier ways to function. I believe that a person’s mental health is impacted by the systems around them including family/friends, work, culture, etc. & that normal developmental changes & unplanned life transitions can strain our coping skills/supports. I approach each client as an individual & believe that everyone is the expert on their own life, so therapy goals/interventions are very collaborative.
I have significant experience treating eating disorders, anxiety, depression, poor self-esteem/body image, and general adjustment issues. I've worked with clients of all ages, genders, sexualities, and backgrounds and aim to provide honest and thoughtful feedback balanced with consistent compassion and empathy.
I fully believe that every person is doing the absolute best they can, and that if something doesn't feel right about the way things are going it is absolutely possible to change them with support. Life can be really difficult and everyone deserves time in their schedule to be listened to, validated, and supported in growing from the challenges.
