First of all, bravo for reaching out for help. The fact that you are doing a Google search for a therapist in your area is the first step to getting better, and it is a big one so congratulations on starting your journey! My counseling practice believes in the journey. This is why I named it "Wayfare Counseling". Wayfare is an Old English word that means "to go on a journey". This is what I believe counseling is all about. The journey is just as important as the recovery, and I would love to come alongside you in that process.
While specializing in both sexual addiction recovery work and complex trauma, I also work with individual clients struggling with a variety of other issues like depression, anxiety, or relationship issues. I also enjoy working with individuals and families to assist in effective communication and relational expression.
What makes my practice special is the fact that I operate through the lens of attachment theory. This framework offers insights into emotional regulation and relational deficits. This theory suggests that we must look backward so that the view going forward is clearer.
