I have a doctorate in clinical psychology and I am a licensed marriage and family therapist. My approach to therapy is one where I walk alongside my clients rather than direct them. My area of focus is substance use disorders, codependency issues, inner-child work through a trauma-focused lens, and serving veterans and first responders.
I use TF-CBT, inner-child work, narrative therapy, and other approaches that are unique to each individual. I am competent enough to be flexible with my approaches and allow them to largely depend upon the strengths of each client.
I have a relaxed vibe and an easy-going demeanor that is largely encapsulated by competency and professionalism. I believe that therapy does not have to be too formal, as vulnerability and honesty are best accessed through friendly empathy and allowing myself and my client to be equals.
