Do you need a more creative way to process in therapy? Join me for Art Therapy. Daily stressors in our lives can become obstacles and lead to feelings of isolation, loneliness, and not being understood. When this happens, we are not operating from our true self and self-energy. You can harness your true nature through creativity and art. We, as individuals, deserve to be heard, wanted, and loved. I work in individual counseling with evidence-based treatment through Expressive Art Therapy and Talk Therapy. I believe you have the ability to heal within, and I offer my services as a gentle guide on that journey.
I specialize in working with difficult life events, such as grief and loss and trauma, including sexual abuse, DV, and PTSD. I'm a Registered Expressive Art Therapist and a PhD student in Palliative Care at U Maryland. The combination of talk therapy, art therapy, and grief therapy I use helps individuals process meaning in life.
By learning and practicing these techniques in the therapeutic process, you will find the courage to grow, the confidence to create, and the voice to speak. In the counseling process, we take one step at a time. The hardest step may be writing the email to start the journey. Today, consider this courage and take a small step toward self-care and wellness.
