Hi there, I'm Christina! I have worked in Human Services for twenty-five years in both non-profit and government agencies. I hold two Clinical Social Work licenses in both California and Tennessee. I have worked with diverse populations in the medical field, homeless services, domestic violence programs, Child Welfare Services, Juvenile Probation, and law enforcement programs (juvenile and adult). I have personal experience dealing with family members with substance use and mental health disorders. I also have experience as a kinship caregiver for both my niece and grandmother, who had dementia.
I believe that therapy is a partnership. Together, we’ll clarify what is important to you, set goals that matter to you, whether they focus on improving relationships, building self-esteem, or another personal objective. As we work together, your goals may evolve as you gain new insights. We can adapt our plan at any time to ensure it’s always meaningful.
In our first session, my focus is on helping you feel comfortable, seen, and in control of your experience. We'll start by getting to know each other — I’ll ask a few questions about what’s bringing you in, what you’re hoping to get from therapy, and what feels most important to you right now.
