I am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Associate and pursuing certification as a Certified Mental Performance Consultant. I work with individuals, couples, and athletes who may be experiencing relationship difficulties, life transitions, anxiety, stress, depression, performance-related issues, and various other presenting concerns. I approach counseling from a wellness model lens and a strengths based perspective. I believe individuals have the resources within them to bring about the change they desire. I seek to assist my clients in identifying and cultivating such strengths to improve their overall quality of life.
In my work, I use Family Systems theory. I believe we are multifaceted beings connected to larger social systems. As such, I give thought to how client's biological, psychological, social, and cultural systems inform their worldview and response to stressors. I utilize ACT and mindfulness in helping clients grow in self awareness and coping skills.
I view the counseling relationship as the vehicle for change. I seek to develop trusting therapeutic relationships with clients where they feel comfortable sharing sensitive topics. I hope to partner with you in your journey towards growth and healing.
