I take a flexible, client-centered approach to therapy, tailoring my methods to suit each individual’s needs. I enjoy incorporating techniques from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Narrative Therapy to help clients work toward their goals. My priority is to listen to each client’s perspective and collaborate with them to find the best path forward, ensuring the approach works for their unique situation. My approach tends to work well with adults in various stages of life, in particular challenging life transitions and the various roles we play as adults that can be stressful.
I also have an extensive amount of experience, both personally and professionally, working with children and adolescents and their parents and families. In all of these different phases and roles in life, I have seen individuals experience anxiety, depression, increased stress, and self-destructive behavior.
I have a relaxed communication style and approach each client with non-judgment and active listening, regardless of the issue at hand. I incorporate humor when suitable and consistently show empathy. My primary goal is to help clients feel comfortable and trust me, creating a safe space where they can be open and honest.
