I began my journey over 13 years ago at a rural inpatient rehab in AL. Those beginnings taught me that every client is unique in their personal history & current challenges & no one is immune to how life experiences change and harm us. I appreciate helping clients build goals & support them on their journey to healing. I am constantly humbled by the resiliency of my clients & the bravery they show to attempt to change painful ways of feeling and thinking. I love seeing my clients gain confidence, confront life obstacles, and heal emotional wounds. It’s difficult, but we can grow & rebuild ourselves, even with all of our junk.
Therapy is helpful to alter the negative perceptions left from our life experiences. Then I help clients gain the awareness needed to practice a more self supporting, reality-based thinking pattern. This leads to improved mood, more patience, and a more confident, self-aware way of thinking and living.
Living a full life means confronting stress, conflict, mistakes, and sometimes trauma. LIFE is not easy. No matter what we have experienced, we are all worthy of another chance to make a better decision, learning how to treat ourselves and others in a compassionate way.
