I, Christina Jean Luke, have obtained a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, granted by the University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2010, with over ten years of pre-graduate and post graduate experience in the counseling field. I am a Licensed Practicing Counselor in NC.
I am a fully registered/rostered Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Specialist, granted by Duke University Cohort. My theoretical orientation is that of Person Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Trauma Focused-Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Through genuiness, empathy, unconditional positive regard, and acceptance, I will help address issues and establish goals based upon your individual needs.
I will assist with internal change from a stage of incongruence to congruence. I will do so by learning more about internal issues experienced and by means of psycho-education I will help the individual and/or family members to find strategies to better cope with triggers and stressors experienced.
