I specialize in treating adults and children who have suffered trauma to include physical and sexual abuse. I am trained in EMDR and I am a Registered Play Therapist. I use both forms of therapy with most of my clients. In addition I also counsel clients with issues such as adjustment, attachment, divorce, death and loss, learning disorders, depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, self-esteem, social skills, body image, attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, and autism-spectrum disorders.
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a psychotherapy that enables people to heal from the symptoms and emotional distress that are the result of disturbing life experiences. I specialize in using EMDR to treat a variety of traumas no matter how big or small. I also incorporate EMDR with Play Therapy in my sessions with children.
