I believe everyone has a desire to feel connected to themselves and to their world. I also believe there are many challenges (big, small or in between) in life where there is divergence between what an individual wants to do and what they are presently capable of doing. There may be factors from early childhood that impact attachment style and one’s core sense of self or events along the way that are simply too much for a person to hold on their own. Maybe there is no particular event, rather a general sense of pain and suffering, or a space within that feels empty or unfulfilled.
I believe, regardless of how one came into their pain or suffering, individuals want to balance their world with acceptance and change through their own resilience and strength. My work is dedicated to helping individuals and families recognize this within themselves and learn to experience life in a way where joy and pain walk in balance.
