As humans, we experience moments of difficulty. Whether that be navigating personal relationships or witnessing collective community distress, we can feel hopeless, out of control, anxious, grief, and exhausted. These struggles may lead to disconnection in relationships, low motivation, and difficulty focusing. Sometimes it is too much to carry on our own and we need support. As a Queer and Latinx identifying therapist, I offer an inclusive and judgment-free space for children, teens, couples and families to navigate these issues, and am especially passionate about working with the LGBTQIA+, gender expansive, and Latinx communities.
I use a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive approach to understand how intersectional identities and systems impact mental health. By empowering clients to identify, connect with, and own their values, beliefs, and needs, my clients are better able to navigate distress related to systemic injustices and disconnections from self, others, and the world.
