Hello, my name is Christina Dogan-Bonam. I am a licensed clinical social worker who is trained in CBT and Motivational Interviewing. I work with trauma, anxiety, and depression. The most common approach is Cognitive Behavior Therapy and Motivational Interviewing. I have some experience in Solution Focused Therapy. I currently work with the veteran population and their families. I am most comfortable working with anxiety and depression. I hope that I am setting an environment of trust and safety.
I was attracted to the job of social worker to help veterans like my father and my son. I have always enjoyed the feeling you get when helping others. I eventually would love to train in grief and loss as well as couples therapy.
I let the client set their goals and I am there to help them realize that they are capable of reaching their goals. That they are being heard, valued and that they are in a safe space. The fire session is used to get to know the client. Find out what brings them in and what are their expectations.
