Life is full of wonderful and sometimes difficult or painful experiences, and during painful seasons we can get stuck. Many times trauma or past wounds can hold us back from moving forward or functioning in life. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, I believe in providing a safe, supportive environment to process through pain, or life changes, to be able to grow and move forward in your life. I work with children, adolescents, families and women. Some of the issues I work with are depression, anxiety, identity, parenting issues, family systems, communication, grief, and abuse.
My theoretical background is experiential and psychodynamic. I use art process, play therapy, sand play, as various methods in therapy. I am fully trained in EMDR and Level 2 trained in Brainspotting. I have also just added Neurofeedback to my practice, and have been practicing since 2014 in Shasta County. My office is listed as Northstate Family Therapy.
