I have extensive experience working with children, families, and adults who have a history of trauma. Many people find conflict with themselves and others and struggle to manage it on their own. I find meaning in my work by helping all people feel valued and worthy independent of their life circumstances. I utilize a strengths-based approach that empowers the people I work with the see their own internal resources and follow their intuition. I stay critically conscious of people’s unique needs and diverse backgrounds. My approach includes perspective of curiosity and open-mindedness. I also conduct Hardship Immigration Evaluations.
I have special training in Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) which is a family therapy model that teaches parents skills to help improve their child's behavior. It is focused on children ages 2.5-7. I am also trained in Brainspotting which is a trauma modality to support healing from traumatic experiences including childhood trauma.
All are welcome in my therapy office. You will find a safe space inclusive of LGBTQIA+ and BIPOC clients. I believe you have the internal resources and we can work together to support you in healing. I speak Spanish, English, and Portuguese.
