I believe understanding how the brain is processing information is one of the keys to understanding the healing journey. When we can understand how a person’s brain is processing information, we can unlock their ability to communicate healthily.
I am an LCSW in CO, TX, and LISW in NE. I use Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and Client-Centered CBT with Strength-based solutions. Hope Restored Model for Couples. TheraPlay and Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) for adoption. I use Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) or Written Exposure Therapy (WET) for Trauma.
Most of my caseload consists of parents who have adopted a child, individual women's issues, and couples wanting to communicate healthily. Many of my clients appreciate having a Christian perspective as part of their counselor journey. However, not all my clients are religious. Clients are always given a choice as to what type of counseling they prefer.
