I am now accepting new clients! I specialize in working with clients who have trouble managing and controlling their emotions which at times can lead to self destructive and maladaptive behaviors. I was intensively trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy at The Bridge Training Institute in Massachusetts. I currently use DBT and CBT in my practice with adults. My broad goals is to help clients manage their lives in healthier and more satisfying ways. Therapy can often be a challenging process and I provide a nurturing environment through compassion, validation, and humor when needed.
As a clinician DBT clinician I have experience with assisting people struggling with regulating their emotions and having difficulty managing their interpersonal relationships. I also work with clients who struggle with eating disorders. Mindfulness is considered the core skill of DBT and it is something I enjoy teaching and also use in my personal life.
I believe the relationship you build with your therapist is important and my goal is to build a safe environment for the client. My style is supportive, direct and interactive. I am currently accepting new clients and calling is the best way to reach me. I look forward to working with you!
