Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Florida with 8 years of professional experience. I specialize in working with adolescents and young adults struggling with issues related to stress, life changes, anxiety, trauma, depression, self-esteem, ADD/ADHD, and anger. I am the spouse of a retired servicemember so I also have 20+ years of experience navigating the military lifestyle and am aware of the challenges faced by the military community. I earned my Bachelors in Social Work from the University of North Carolina- Wilmington. I went on to earn my Master's degree in Social Work from the University of Central Florida.
In our first session, we'll spend some time getting to know one another then, explore the challenges you are currently facing and the goals you have for therapy. This will allow us to establish a specialized plan to work on in future sessions. I want you to feel comfortable with me & the therapy process in order for you to achieve the best possible outcome.
My approach is unique in that I am laid back & easy going which I find makes clients, especially teens, feel more relaxed. I am flexible & understand that your needs may change from time to time. I am open-minded & will always encourage you to express your opinions and beliefs. Seeking therapy can be scary & I am here to make it as comfortable as possible.
