My love for helping people navigate life’s unavoidable pain and stressors is the reason why I chose to become a therapist. We may find ourselves in communities and situations where we are afraid to talk about our emotions and mental health issues. This can make us feel stuck, hopeless, and afraid. I believe in working with clients to make the pain bearable, remove those fears, and navigate their lives the way they have always dreamed of. I worked with teens and adults with co-occurring substance use and mental health disorders. I also have experience working with young adults and adults with Depression and Anxiety disorders.
I use Dialectic Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy treatment modalities in my work. My approach to therapy is working together with clients every step of the way to make sure that their voices are included throughout treatment. Clients will indeed have to do some hard work, but we will do that work together.
In each session, I take the time to build rapport grounded in trust, kindness, and honesty.
