I earned my Master's Degree in Professional Counseling from Liberty University and am a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC). I believe it is vitally important to meet patients where they are and provide a safe, non-threatening atmosphere by which they feel encouraged and empowered to make changes necessary to experience healing. I seek to come alongside my patients to equip them with the skills necessary to see change and healing. I utilize primarily Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to build psychological flexibility in order to do more of what matters to you.
I believe that real and lasting change is possible through the therapeutic relationship that is built on being non-judgmental, empathic and exhibiting unconditional positive regard for the patient. I want to assist patients with finding freedom from thought patterns that are unworkable and keep the patient stuck. I use skills from ACT to accomplish this.
