Outside of the Box Therapy is grounded in the belief that each person has the innate ability to heal. Often, the problems we see on the surface are signs of something deeper happening inside. My work focuses on helping people—especially children, teens, and families—get to the root of those issues in a way that feels safe and respectful. Therapy isn’t always comfortable. It can be tough to face parts of ourselves or our story that we would rather avoid but it is through developing your authentic self that you feel the strongest. My goal is to make the process supportive, grounding, and ultimately healing.
From my early work as an educator, I have an extensive background in Behaviorally Based approaches and hold certifications in a variety of specially trained modalities, including EMDR (Consultant and child certified), CBT, Choice Theory, TF-IPT, TF-CBT, Anger Management, Play Therapy (Registered Play Therapist-Supervisor), and Somatic Experiencing
With more than 30 years in the field, "Dr. C'“ knows how to make abstract ideas concrete and applicable to everyday life.
