I strive to come to each session in a fully authentic way and provide a space for healing, transformation and hope. I have 20 plus years of experience in a variety of settings.
Acceptance, connection, empathy, support and humor is what I aim to bring to therapy and to encourage exploration, growth and healing.
Some of the steps that I support in therapy are increasing hope, releasing old beliefs that no longer work for us, trusting ourselves, healing and transforming our lives more and more into the people we want to be.
I have a specialized interest with working with people impacted by relationships involving someone with a Narcissist personality style. This interest has led me to working on becoming a certified Narcissistic Abuse Abuse Clinician (NATC).
These personality styles are often referred to as emotionally immature, toxic, antagonistic, and Narcissistic.
Characteristics of this personality style often include: criticalness, invalidation, reactivity and hypersensitivity to perceived slights or insults.
Common experiences of being in a relationship with this personality style are manipulation, control, invalidation, wants/needs disregarded, degradation, lack of empathy, inconsistency and gaslighting.
