I have a specialized interest in the treatment and recovery process of those suffering from relational trauma (complex-trauma) that often begins with the family of origin and continues to appear in adult relationships in the form of codependency, love addiction/avoidance, infidelity, betrayal/trauma bonds, attachment disorders and generational trauma. I am certified in Relational Life Therapy (RLT) and trained in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Post-Induction Therapy (Pia Mellody's PIT) and Eye-Movement-Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). I am also very much a proponent of the late John Bradshaw (Healing the Shame That Binds You).

My work with you will first identify how you relate to yourself and others, and then explore how you created your relational template for intimate relationships. Pia Mellody emphasized, "you have got to get your history straight," when it comes to being able to identify and then change automatic behaviors that are no longer working for you.

Many clients that come to me are deep thinkers who want to explore the root of things, rather than just address symptom management or learn coping skills. They want to change how they make meaning of themselves and others, how they find and create relationships, and how they choose their life course rather than "waiting" for life to take them somewhere-
