No matter who we are, our relationships influence and mold our experience of life. We all have a desire to create and maintain deep connections to our families, spouse, children, and friends that help sustain us during our challenges and storms and lift us higher during the joys and peaks. For most of us, though, that process is difficult and not without pitfalls. As a marriage and family therapist, I keep in mind the importance of relationships and how they affect and shape all of us. We are home to the Live SMART Healing and Restoration Counseling Center. Our desire is to ensure that people impacted by any type of abuse have access to life-changing support. We want every survivor to have the opportunity to heal and be restored from their traumatic experience and thrive. Our ambition is to diminish abuse through our counseling services and by partnering with Christian ministries to strengthen the overall community.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor, primarily working with individual adults, although I have experience serving children and couples as well. My specialties are trauma, anxiety, depression and pain management. I use a variety of treatment modalities including: CBT, person-centered, behavioral relaxation training, and EMDR, depending on the needs of the individual.

Change is always hard but often necessary and attainable with the appropriate guidance and tools. I enjoy working with a wide range of issues in adolescents, adults, and couples, and I have extensive experiences with these populations. I work best with clients who are self-motivated and seek therapy on their own so they are ready to apply themselves outside of therapy.

I graduated from Dallas Theological Seminary with degrees in Christian education and Biblical counseling. I believe that all people should be treated with dignity, grace, and mercy, and that everyone struggles with the basic building blocks of society: relationships.
