My greatest passion is performing my duties as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I feel honored working with clients who seek mental health treatment. I serve adults, adolescents, and children, with proficiency in various treatment modalities including, but not limited to, individual, group, family and child therapy. I utilize active listening, validation, empathy, and unconditional positive regard. My work is focussed, goal directed, purpose and problem centered, offering support, warmth, caring, and deep regard for clients' rights and potentials for change. I accept Medicare and MediCal/IEHP insurance. Additionally, I accept private insurance - Blue Cross, CHIPA, Value Options, MHN, Aetna, TriCAre, etc.
I consider the Mental Health field to be both challenging and fulfilling. I work with clients who are in severe crisis, who are depressed, grieving, anxious, not feeling good about themselves, having family problems, serious mental health issues or wanting to change behaviors that have been detrimental to their lives.
In addition to doing mental health work I am a Professional Geriatric Care Manager who help elderly clients to remain in their homes as long as possible. I prepare assessments, make recommendations about how best to remain safe, and connect them to services that are available in their communities.
