As a queer, Filipino-American, I have special interest and experience working with BIPOC, First-Generation Americans, and LGBTQIA+ living with trauma, depression, anxiety, relationship distress, or difficult life transitions. It takes great strength and vulnerability to ask for help and to let someone in on our journey when we’re not sure they’ll understand us. I value the importance of the relationship between therapist and client. In order to keep you and our therapeutic relationship at the forefront of treatment, I utilize a person-centered modality, integrating psychodynamics, behavioral modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and EMDR. We’ll work together to understand your narrative, values, and identity.
Whether you feel stuck, overwhelmed, exhausted, or maybe even all of the above, my goal as your therapist is to provide collaborative, safe, and supportive environment for you to understand and process the narrative of your journey - where you’ve been, who are you, and where you’d like to go.
