I have learned over the past 15 years how different and unique each one of us are and how every person has their own story to tell. I have also found people to have an amazing ability to learn, adapt, heal and grow through even the most difficult of times. Assisting in the process of learning, adapting, healing and growing, I use several different therapy approaches tailored to each person's needs. I primarily use Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT) which focused on values and goals. I also use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR)as well as solution focused and person centered therapy.

I hold a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology and have worked in outpatient clinics (including RTC), and private practice. Client's who feel safe, secure, and trusts the therapeutic relationship can begin the healing process, and discover common patterns in their thoughts and behaviors. Past relationships tend to shape current interactions with others. I believe the basic assumptions are that people are doing the best they can, want relief from their emotional distress, and to have quality relationships. The goal of therapy is having quality relationships that enable clients to develop healthy choices to fill unmet needs.

Accepting NEW clients. Everyone has a story, that should be heard, and have a space where their healing journey can begin. I aid to create a safe, non-judgement space and a therapeutic relationship for clients to share their story, process their pain, and find healing. I specialize in working with children (5+), teens (12+), women, and couples struggling with feeling stuck, behavioral issues, emotional regulation, anxious distress, depressed mood, grief/loss, postpartum issues, trauma, eating disorders, unhealthy body and food relationship, and communication issues and high conflict. I'm also a certified Brainspotting therapist.

I work to provide a space where patients can feel accepted and supported through life's messiest, best, and most unpredictable times in life. My hope is to join you in coming up with effective ways to cope and move forward regardless of your circumstance. As a fellowship trained health psychologist, I believe in whole person care and the importance of integrating the ones physical, psychological, social, and spiritual aspects into health care.

I love helping people overcome addictive behaviors as well as treating the underlying issues that may be causing the addictive behavior, such as depression, shame, anxiety, trauma, or codependency. I believe that recovery is a holistic process and a whole-hearted journey that is filled with ups and downs, and it is an honor to walk alongside with you through it all. I also work with couples, or partners individually, who are looking to repair and rebuild broken trust due to an addiction. I enjoy working with couples where both partners are willing to look inward and make changes so the relationship can fully flourish.

It seems we are taught the same general A+B+C equals health, but it’s not that simple. When we find ourselves somewhere in between angry, hurt, ashamed, confused, chaotic, and in pain; there is nothing general about it. By choice or force we have been opened and we find ourselves agonizingly and explicitly pulled in multiple directions at once. These tensions are unavoidable in life and are a part of the human experience.
