My goal is to support individuals, couples and families, guiding them to develop healthy coping mechanisms and empowering them to cultivate fulfilling and meaningful relationships in their lives.

"Will it always have to be this way? I don't know how much more I can take." This is a statement I hear often from clients when they first come to me. Holding hope for clients until they are able to hold it for themselves is a calling I feel honored to provide. My ideal client is one that has experienced trauma or crisis in their life, usually with their family of origin, struggles in relationships, has experienced anxiety, abandonment, or emotional, verbal, or spiritual abuse. Many times clients say to me they feel like they were not made to fit in this world or no one understands them.

I am a licensed professional counselor who is a Christian. I understand how important it is to have a Christian counselor. If this is something you want to integrate into your counseling process, I am able to do this and can use the Bible and your relationship with God to help you with whatever struggles you have. Integrating God and your beliefs is not a requirement to have counseling, but it is something I can offer. I respect your faith and denominational differences. I don’t have an agenda nor am I preachy. I am EAGALA certified.

I enjoy facilitating client change by first identifying the fixed thoughts and assumptions that interfere with fulfillment. Life is challenging, and what we say to ourselves can make coping difficult. Childhood experiences powerfully impact our self-statements, so you won't leave our sessions without exploring your youth - - who loved you, who didn't, and how you now cope and react. Finding personal meaning is also so important! My approaches are tailored to meet the unique needs of the individual or couple, as collaboration is essential.

I approach treatment from a worldview that believes individuals are unique and gifted, created with meaning and purpose, and made to have a relationship with God and others. Because of brokenness in ourselves and in the world, we experience conflict and struggle, often severe enough to impact our ability to function each day and find joy in living. When we are able to understand our experiences in context of what is true, healing begins.
