She works to provide a safe space for clients to work through their difficulties and pain while not feeling alone. Mark is a skilled therapist with over twenty years of experience counseling diverse people in various settings. From treating chronically mentally ill adults and conduct-disordered youth to counseling broken families and school-anxious teens, Mark has learned extensive treatments in the field. He values the strength and courage clients show in their most vulnerable times. Through it all, he has learned many therapy principles; the most important being that change can be difficult. Mark approaches therapy understanding that change, with acceptance and perseverance, can build character, hope, and strength.

I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Illinois. I have experience working with children, adolescents, and adults in both individual and group settings. The clients I have worked with have struggled with eating disorders, self-injury, anxiety, depression, and suicidal ideation. I work with my client on developing healthy coping skills, such as grounding and relaxation techniques, to help alleviate the stress brought on by triggering thoughts and situations. In addition, I work with my client on creating short term and long term goals to motivate and establish a strong sense of self.

Barb Giordan, MSW, LCSW, is gentle, compassionate and open. Her life is shaped by a passion to help others, and she is honored and privileged to listen to people's stories and come along side those who are suffering. Barb received an MSW from the University of Connecticut and a BA from Fairfield University. With over 20 years experience in the mental health field, Barb worked in an inpatient hospital, a day school program, and several private practice settings, including a Christian counseling center.
