The ideal client that I like to meet with is someone who desires help and wisdom for their situation. They are also someone who needs encouragement, direction and prayer. No matter what type of situation they are going through I am here to help and come along side of them. I understand that life can be very difficult and sometimes we find ourselves in situations that we never believed we would be in. It is this client whom I like to meet with so that we can work toward a better path for them.
I have a biblical orientation to my counseling which is not overbearing or ignorant, but thoughtful, respectful and helpful to the client. The word of God should not be used to condemn but to encourage and correct someone but in a gentle and respectful way for the benefit of the client.
I feel that the care that I give is patient and worth the investment that the client is making. We have all had various trials and tribulations and as a counselor I am aware of this and have a great respect for my clients who have humbled themselves to come in to the counseling setting.
