There are times in life where we find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, exhausted, and weighed down by burdens that are too heavy to manage on our own. It can be hard to find time and space to address the things that weigh on us in the midst of all that pulls at our time and attention. I consider it an honor and privilege to create a space for my clients where together we can slow down and address the burdens in their lives that are keeping them from thriving. Sometimes these burdens may be anxious or depressed symptoms, other times it may be challenges with emotional regulation at home or school, or it may be relational challenges.

We often fall into old patterns that don't work for us any longer. We can feel stuck. We don't know how to make changes or what to do. Sometimes it is necessary to share your story with someone who can be objective and give you an alternative perspective. I will strive to give you the knowledge and skills to make these changes in a healthy and God-like manner. We will work together, at your pace and comfort level, to develop goals to improve your life. We will work to give your life balance in all areas.

I believe you are a unique individual with your own story to tell. Sharing who you are and what you have experienced or are experiencing with anyone is a vulnerable and brave thing to do. We are relational beings, and with relationships comes a waterfall of thoughts, feelings, emotions, and experiences, all of which affect how we relate and respond to ourselves and others. My hope for our time together is movement towards hope and healing. It would be an honor to come alongside you as you navigate your pursuit of personal and relational wellness.

It's helpful to have someone with whom to share our challenges. I view therapy as a sacred, yet creative partnership, focusing on personal healing and self-awareness. Therapy is also a holistic pursuit, nurturing mind, body, and spirit. As a person of faith, I am passionate about incorporating spirituality into the therapeutic process, at the discretion of the client. I conceptualize therapy from two directions: First, the work centers around building skills to regulate oneself during anxious or depressive experiencing. These skills are essential for doing the deeper work of identifying and resolving traumatic experiences.

When life is challenging and we find ourselves in unfamiliar and stressful situations it is courageous to reach out for help with these struggles. I can walk you through the process of making changes to improve your approach to the struggle and help you find it’s origins. I work with individual adults struggling with trauma, parenting, divorce, spirituality and spiritual reconstruction. . My goal is that clients leave feeling heard, validated and able to look at their struggle with new eyes. I consider it a privilege to be invited into my clients lives.

We believe that we all have the capability to survive through difficult times and unwanted emotions. We also believe that we are all worthwhile and valuable individuals that have something valuable to offer others. However, sometimes the world and people around us can seem discouraging and shame-based. One of our goals is to model self-worth and provide our clients with constant encouragement until they are able to see themselves as a worthwhile person that is capable of also encouraging others. I have a heart and a passion for working with women, especially with those in the healthcare field. I have experience and enjoy working with doctors, nurses, counselors, psychologists, mothers, military members, ministers, and those who serve in a caretaker role of some capacity. I understand the challenges that come with being a caregiver or service member and needing help ourselves.

It can be painful and frustrating to feel trapped in a cycle of behaviors, thoughts, or relationships that don't represent the person we want to be. I believe that one of the most challenging things in life is to simultaneously love and accept ourselves as we are while also acknowledging a need or desire for change. I believe that a perspective rooted in faith can help us to do this.
