About

My mission is to help you take steps to live more authentically, and to feel more connected to a life that is meaningful to you. My background is in the domain of health psychology, and I have particular expertise working with Veterans and individuals from diverse backgrounds. Your whole health is important to me - mind and body. In tending to these aspects of who you are, I draw from evidence-based treatments and clinical literature, as well as your internal wisdom and values. You are the expert in your body and your health. I would like to help you to find your unique pathway towards wellness and growth.
In addition to treatment of the full range of mental health disorders, I also have expertise assisting individuals coping with health problems as diverse as chronic pain, insomnia, cancer, diabetes, or obesity. I have worked in a wide array of healthcare settings, and also write for www.mindfulobserver.com.
Whatever distress exists in your life, I am grateful for the opportunity to be present with you and earn your trust. When you attend your first session, I will plant a tree (in partnership with onetreeplanted.org), regardless of whether or not you choose to continue treatment with me. Let's work to heal - body, mind, and planet - together.

Christen Mullane's Groups

Men's Chronic Pain Support Group

Cultural expectations placed on men - to be strong, independent, and capable of protecting others - can make the experience of chronic pain particularly challenging. Pain impacts not only the body, but also relationships and quality of life. This group aims to assist men in navigating grief related to loss of functioning, and to learn specific coping strategies to assist in reducing pain frequency and severity. An individual consultation is required prior to joining this group in order to ensure it is a good fit for your needs. The group is offered via telehealth. Typical group size is 5 - 8 individuals. Typical length is 12 sessions.
